Meet Lauran…

In my first year as a school counselor for Denver Public Schools, I advised 500+ students, wrote 83 letters of recommendation, and helped 121 seniors complete hundreds of college applications. Then I did it again, for six years.

While I found success, I also found public school counselors are expected to do it all; I was maxed out. Between rising levels of mental health I monitored, concerning graduation rates I worked to increase, and college curriculum I built, there was little time left to prioritize helping you get into your dream college. So, I decided to do things differently.

I founded Williamson College Prep to provide personalized college counseling that complements what students receive from their public school counselors, enhancing students’ overall college admissions experiences.  Further, I’ve developed a specialty in working with student-athletes who seek a balanced academic/athletic college experience.
